So, anyone got any good restaurants to add to this list? These are all guaranteed 100% possibility of maybe being less chance of Delhi belly . These were all passed on from someone who should know... In the Taj Palace (Diplomatic Enclave) the Vietnamese restaurant Blue Ginger is very good and the their fine dining restaurant Orient Express which is in a train carriage actually inside the hotel is regarded as one of the best dining experiences in India (it is very good). They also have an Indian restaurant (as do all the major hotels) and it is okay (like all the hotels). Nearby at ITC Maruya (5 minutes away) Indian restaurant Bukhara is famous for having famous people and the food is also great Indian cuisine. Hyatt (10 minutes away) has a good Indian version of Teppanyaki, the best Chinese in Delhi, a good Italian and of course the standard Indian. Something more traditional and in old Delhi, Karim’s is popular and good (Muslim based Indian food – no alcohol). Depending on what day of the week you are in town the weekend lunch specials are great, some on Sunday, some Saturday. Good luck! |
