Insurance requirements for civil aircraft

Civil aircraft landing or taking off in Hong Kong must have a minimum CSL of (except in an emergency):


Aircraft maximum ramp or taxi weight, whichever is greater (if not applicable, maximum take-off weight or maximum weight, whichever  is the greater), as stipulated in its Manufacturer's Flight Manual or Operations ManualApplicable amount (equivalent to)
Not exceeding 5,700 kgUS$15,000,000
Exceeding 5,700 kg but not exceeding 10,000 kgUS$25,000,000
Exceeding 10,000 kg but not exceeding 28,000 kgUS$60,000,000
Exceeding 28,000 kg but not exceeding 100,000 kgUS$200,000,000
Exceeding 100,000 kg but not exceeding 170,000 kgUS$500,000,000
