Cockpit Oxygen System

Fixed oxygen system using 1 high-pressure cylinder in the left lower fuselage. With the mask in normal, 100% oxygen is delivered at 35,000' cabin altitude. Overpressure (or emergency) supply is automatically started at 30,000' cabin altitude. Nominal pressure is 1850 psi.

Pressing RESET on the oxygen masks after use cuts off the mask microphone. Pressing the EMERGENCY pressure selector provides pressurised oxygen for a few seconds. Turning it clockwise delivers permanent positive pressure.

Cockpit oxygen is shown on the DOOR/OXY page. The indication:

  • has an amber half frame < 1500 psi
  • becomes amber < 400 psi
  • includes REGUL LO PR < 50 psi

Failures

REGUL LO PR- oxygen pressure from the regulator < 50 psi
- call maintenance
