Crossbleed Valve

The crossbleed valve is controlled by 2 electric motors, 1 for automatic mode and 1 for manual mode. In automatic mode, the crossbleed valve is normally closed and opens when APU bleed air is used. If ground air is used, the crossbleed valve remains closed. In order to start #2 engine first, the crossbleed valve must manually be selected to open.
Failures
If the crossbleed valve fails to automatically open when APU bleed air is used, or fails to close when APU bleed air is switched off, a failure AIR X BLEED FAULT is displayed.
