Jettison

Fuel is jettisoned from the inner and centre tanks at about 1 ton per minute.

The jettison system:

• opens all crossfeed valves
• starts all main and standby fuel pumps
• starts an automatic forward transfer to the centre tank

Jettisoning stops when:

• stopped by the crew
• low level is sensed on one side
• combined inner tank quantity is < 10,000 kg
• the FCMS stops at the level preset on the MCDU
