Cabin Pressure Control System
Also from: CPCS
Consists of:
- two identical cabin pressure controllers
The controllers alternately function as the primary each flight, and operate in AUTO, ALTN and MAN modes.
Auto mode
The following data is supplied to the automatic controllers:
- ADIRUs:
- ambient static pressure
- baro corrected altitude (baro corrections from the Captain and F/O BARO reference selectors)
- non-corrected altitude
- calibrated airspeed
- stall management computers:
- throttle position
- air/ground sensors
Cabin altitude is fed into the controllers at all times on the ground. The auto mode uses DC motors.
Manual mode
The outflow valve is powered by a separate DC motor, powered by the DC Standby system. This drives the outflow valve at a slower rate than in the automatic modes.
