Accident Investigation
5. Duty to furnish information relating to accidents
The commander of the aircraft, or the operator if the commander is incapacitated, must inform the Chief Inspector of the accident, and if it occurs in or over Hong Kong, must also notify the Commissioner of Police.
7. Removal of damaged aircraft
Only authorised people have access to the aircraft accident site. An authorised person is authorised by the Director, and includes police officers and officers of the Customs and Excise Service.
