CMF
Communication management function
A software function hosted in the MAUs. The CMF communicates with the FMS and the CMC. Communication with the other MAU is through the ASCB, communication within the MAU is via a PCI bus, and communication with external components (such as the MCDUs) is through ARINC 429. Includes a printer which operates via 28V DC from DC Bus 1, which can print data from the CMS or ACARS.
