Cockpit Door
Pressing the emergency call push button in the passenger cabin illuminates the white light LED on the control panel, activates the door unlock light on the cockpit door control panel, and starts a chime. The chime remains on for 4s, and is repeated 3 times at 9s intervals. After that, the white LED goes out and the green LED is illuminated.
The guarded LOCK button on the cockpit door control panel has these functions:
- controls cockpit door's power supply
- activates and deactivates the electromechanical door latch
- deactivates the inhibition control
- resets the buzzer alarm and EMERG CALL command
- resets the green LED on the door's control panel in the passenger cabin
There is a manual latch that overrides the locking system, although this may only be used in case of system electrical failure.
