External Power

AC ground power is used for flight preparation and maintenance, while DC ground power is used only for starting the APU.

AC ground power system accepts 115VAC, 400Hz, 3-phase. It is controlled by the EPM. The DC ground power system accepts 28V DC. It is controlled by dedicated system logic in the AICC.

The GPU switch in the cockpit controls the GPU AC contactor. The GROUND SERVICE switch on the exterior AC GPU panel, and the GND SVC switch on the forward galley, perform the same function.

External DC power can only be controlled from the external DC GPU panel.
