- Shall be autopilot flown with
- LNAV by the IAF
- VGP / FPA by the FAF
- Prior to Approach, checking
- Tracks / Dist / Altitudes
- 3 deg vertical profile

V - Viable
Discontinuing an Approach
In IMC & having passsed the IAF
- EPU > 0.30
- 'GPS RAIM UNAVAILABLE'
- 'GPS RAIM ABOVE LIMITS'
- 'UNABLE RNP'
- 'DEGRAD'
- Both GPS have failed
- Both FMS have failed
- CDI > 1 dot
Arming VGP
- FMS is navigation source
- Non-LOC approach
- within 30 NM
- NOT in DR
- altitude and angle contraints have NOT been changed
- a vertical direct-to the FAF has NOT been activated
Engagement of VGP
- APP button has been pressed
- LNAV is active
- within 5 NM of FAF
- able to capture final approach slope
