IRS

Provides attitude, heading and position information.
The main component of the IRS is the IRU. Initialisation is done through the MCDU. A PIT amber annunciator is displayed on the PFD in the event of a miscompare.
Control panel
The IRS button on the reversionary panel changes the attitude and heading source to the cross-side IRS. FD and AP modes disengage.
