The A330-300 was launched in 1987 and began service in 1993, and was designed as a replacement for the A300. It competes directly with the Boeing 777-200 and the Boeing 767-400ER. The A330-300 has a MTOW of approximately 217,000 kg, a maximum range of 4,900 nm, and is certified to carry a maximum of 440 seats.
