Integrated Drive Generator

Converts variable engine speed to constant speed to drive the engine driven generators. The IDG rise indication is the difference between IDG oil inlet and outlet temperature. If disconnected the IDGs can only be connected again on the ground.
Failures
High oil temperature or low oil pressure in an IDG could cause damage to the accessory gearbox of the engine, and so must be disconnected.
