Cabin Oxygen System

The cabin oxygen system is a gaseous oxygen system that operates in a depressurisation. It consists of between 5 and 15 cylinders in the right hand sidewall lining of the forward cargo compartment. Once oxygen flow starts, it may be stopped and later restarted.

Oxygen mask doors are opened by air pressure. A system pressure of 1850 psi indicates that all bottles are full.

Failures

There are 2 system shutoff valves and 2 valves in the manifold for isolation of engine burst zones. A REGUL LO PR appears if pressure is ≤ 64 psi or for a failure of the valves.
