The auto speed brake system operates on the ground.

Deployment (SPEED BRAKE lever ARMED)

• SPEED BRAKE ARMED light illuminated
• RA <10'
• landing gear struct compresses on touchdown (*note that the ground spoilers only deploy on compression of the right main landing gear strut)
• both thrust levers IDLE
• main landing gear wheels spin up >60kts (not a requirement)

Deployment (SPEED BRAKE lever DOWN)

(During landing or rejected takeoff)

• main landing gear wheels spin up >60kts
• both thrust levers IDLE
• reverse thrust levers positioned for reverse thrust
