ADSP
Air data smart probes
Consists of an ADC attached to a MFP. Contains the pressure sensing elements of the ADC and senses:
- total pressure
- static pressure
- local angle of attack (AOA)
- total air temperature (TAT)
These parameters are sent to the ADA.
The 4 ADSPs are located on the nose, as are the TAT probes. The ADSPs and TAT probes are anti-iced and de-iced by heater elements. Heating in auto mode is provided with 1 engine running, or WOW false. In on mode, the heaters are on all the time. Only ADSP 3 is heated with the batteries as the only electrical source.
