AMS

Air management system


Consists of the pneumatic system and the ECS. The CPCS is also part of the AMS, although has a separate controller. The AMS controller is contected to SPDA 2 and has 2 channels.


The AMS controller provides:

  • bleed control
  • environmental control
  • hot air leak detection
  • crew oxygen monitoring
  • wing and engine ice protection
  • an interface with the smoke detectors in the recirculation bay, providing fault detection, isolation, reporting

The recirculation fans are commanded off when smoke is detected in the recirculation bay.
