TSA

Tail strike avoidance

A FBW feature operable during takeoff and landing by reducing pitch authority, depending on height above ground. This is calculated using the RA on landing, and vertical speed on takeoff. The TSA works up to 20' after takeoff, and from 70' during landing. There is no TSA if landing flap is not 5 or FULL. In a go around, height above ground is calculated using RA, and the TSA works in takeoff mode.
