Ice and Rain Protection

Hot air is used for:

• 4 outboard leading edge slats of each wing
• engine air intakes

Electrical heating is used for:

• cockpit windows
• sensors and probes
• waste-water drain mast

Rain removal fluid and windshield wipers are also provided. The girt bars are also electrically heated.
