Ice Detection System
Two separate electric vibrating probes on the forward lower fuselage detect ice build-up and display information on the ECAM. The aircraft must be > 1,500' and the TAT < 10°C for automatic ice detection to occur.
There is also a lit visual indicator between the windscreens.
