AML A330
Correct Terminology:
1)
A Hard Landing,
is one where there is an excessive vertical component and/or a load report 15 is generated.
A Heavy Landing,
is one where the A/C is above MLW, (record the actual landing weight)
2)
if an ASR is raised for an A/C issue, ie. overspeed, turbulence,
then state in the AML, "ASR raised for ____" (state the reason)
3)
if a request is made to isolate the QAR in the AML, then state,
"please isolate QAR for ____" (state the reason, ie, which tech fault or for aircrew flt analysis review)
4)
if a ETOPS Verification Flight is requested it is important to write up the successfully completion correctly. The AML entry must state that the ETOPs verification flight was satisfactory.
5)
if after a flt the Radial Position Error (RPE) Check, from Line 5 of the Position Monitor page, is out of limits, make an AML entry. Do not use the word, "Drift", instead write, ie, "the RPE from the Position Monitor page shows IRS 1, 8NM after a block time of 2hrs." (easy formula is remember limit is: (Blk Hrs x 2)+2
6)
if a flt is cancelled and the A/C has been fuelled, make an AML entry with the Date, Dept/Destination the same and stating no flight. It is important to record the FOB. (also acars OPS with FOB for their future flt planning purposes)
