Performs the following functions:

• acquisition and monitoring of parameters used by FE and FG
• characteristic speeds computation
• backup-up weight and CG computation
• aft CG monitoring (as a backup for the FCMCs and for excessive aft CG monitoring)
• (reactive) windshear detection (takeoff to 1,300' and 1,300' to 50' with at least CONF 1)

Failures

On failure of both FEs, SPD LIM flags are displayed on the PFDs. Protections are still avialable from the PRIMs.
