Monitor warning function
The MWF receives warning, caution, advisory and status of aircraft system, providing feedback through the EICAS and aural warnings.
Autoland
Determines whether an autoland can be performed. Examines data from the PFD, AFCS, MRC, radio altimeter, and sensor configurations. Available when:
- FD, AP, yaw damper, and AP trim are correct in both lanes of the high priority FGCS
- AFCS receives correct data from at least 2 independent IRS, ADS, and ILS source
- radio altimeter miscompare is not set
- AFCS receives correct data from at least 2 independent radio altimeter sources
- at least 2 flap position signals are correct
- at least 1 left side and 1 right side wheel speed signals are correct
- the AP servos (aileron and elevator) are operational
- parallel rudder system is serviceable
- FBW is autoland capable
- autoland 1 or 2 APM is engaged
- cross-lane actuator I/O processor is autoland capable
