Engine Interface Unit

The EIU interfaces with the FADEC.

The EIU inputs are:

• engine start and manual start switches
• zone controller, for bleed demand
• LGCIU
• SFCC
• A/THR

Failures

As bleed demand is unknown to FADEC, idle speed is increased to approach idle. A/THR is not available. Manual starts are not available. Thrust reverse is lost.
